London Comedy Writers – next meeting

Next meeting: 25 July 2017, 7pm

Join us for a sitcom read through and sketches

What happens at London Comedy Writers?

A typical meeting comprises of one sitcom and two sketches with a short break in between. After each piece has been read, members are invited to offer their feedback to the writer. At the end of this discussion the writer may respond to the collective feedback. Occasionally, we hold sketch-only meetings (to encourage submissions for our annual sketch showcase, Sketchageddon Live) and sometimes we also dedicate evenings to webisode scripts.

There’s no pressure to contribute material until you feel ready and you are likely to pick up tips and advice by just listening to critique of other scripts.

Do you want your script read at a meeting?

We are currently booking slots for sketches, sitcoms and webisodes. All we ask is that you come along to a few meetings first – priority on the waiting list is given to those who regularly attend in support of fellow writers. Please refer to our submission guidelines and then send your script to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
